The IMechE Future Fuels Seminar will present an engineering view of how to ensure the ongoing reduction of C02 from the world of transportation. It will give an overall perspective on the different choices for low carbon mobility.
Timothy Wilson, LR’s Principle Specialist Engineer on Marine Fuels, will be speaking on the changing scene of marine fuels – looking at the past and into the future; his presentation will focus on the following topics:
- Managing the unpredictability of marine fuel quality under the ever-increasing pressure of environmental legislation and dropping fuel prices
- Exploring alternative fuel options: which are viable in the near future and what simply must be put aside?
- Envisioning the outlook for the next 10–30 years
